I think this is a great idea cos the other option, a traditional full size wireless keyboard, would just have been too cumbersome to keep with you all the time.
This is a good compromise and I love the way it neatly fits into your exisiting controller. I do like chatting away on the headset but for some occasions, such as when you want to send a message to someone, this provides a far more intuitive input method.
I wonder if this will open the door for new featur...

I love Windows and I love my Xbox and Xbox 360, but Microsoft, you do make it difficult on us don't you?
Service Pack 1 and 2 for XP fixed a lot of problems and added some great features, all for free. A lot of people I've spoken to don't have any problems with XP, it just works. And it should do considering how long it's been out.
Sure it doesn't look as snazzy as Vista or Mac OS, but I find it pretty damn reliable and I know that the vast majority of software is still gonna be released for it.
This just feels like the whole Xbox thing again. As soon as the 360 cam...
